Brooklyn artist Mark Reigelman and San Francisco architect Jenny Chapman installed a wooden hut on the side of a hotel in San Fransisco, to demonstrate the rights of the urban explorer to find an unoccupied parcel of space in which to make a city home. (source)
The Purge by artist Chris Whiteburch is an art installation in a condemned house, where the house purges its contents, all manner of debris and structural material shooting violently through a window into a giant wooden splash. (source)

Don’t let this post fool you, I’m not planning on getting a tattoo. For me a tattoo is something that should have a meaning, remind you of something important or define something about yourself that you’d like to share with the world or remind yourself of. So far, I haven’t felt the urge yet to eternalize something on my body, but I do appreciate tattoos on others. Lately I’ve been coming across many beautiful tattoos, so I figured it was about time I shared them with you, especially with the fake tattoo trend in mind! (I will let that trend pass though, as the beauty of a tattoo lies in it being permanent for me, although I have to admit there’s some amazing fake tattoos to be found on the internet!) For his project called Street Seats, Bade Stageberg Cox collected 50 abandoned chairs on the streets of New York, repaired them and painted them with a coat of taxi cab yellow paint. On the bottom of each chair, you find a with the date and location it was recovered. (source)

It took me two weeks before I finally had time to spend a day at the beach, but when I finally found an appartment and got settled, I enjoyed it even more. With a few friends, we spent an entire day at praia guincho, one of the more beautiful beaches near Lisboa. Despite the cold when it was getting later, we stayed there until sunset. So worth it!
For this series, called “Lakes and Reservoirs”, Matthew Brandt took colour photographs which were printed and soaked in the water from the lake or reservoir in each image.

I’m not entirely sold on the fake tattoo trend (for me the beauty of a tattoo lies mostly in the fact that it can be a permanent reminder of something worth remembering), but this design by un beau jour got me excited. I love the triangles and those arrows! Available here.

Last Sunday, I made a trip to LX factory, an old industrial site which is now a creative island. Here you can find wonderful shops, nice restaurants and bars, architects, fashion designers, advertising agencies, artists, photographers and so on. And on top of that, each sunday the LX market takes place, where you can find both vintage and new treasures.
