Spending a few days in a cabin in Sweden has been on my wishlist for quite a while, but I haven’t made it there yet because Scandinavia is so damn expensive and time is always an issue.  However, I don’t have to fly to Sweden anymore to make my cabin dream come true!  The Dammhus brings that Scandinavian feeling to the North of Belgium, and does so in style.  A while ago, I was asked by a Belgian magazine to photograph the recently opened cabin, which had been on my must-visit list ever since I first scrolled past in on Instagram, so you could imagine my delight!  Unfortunately I didn’t get to spend the night at the time, but if the beds are as comfy as the interior is pretty, waking up here must be a dream come true.  Speaking of that pretty interior; the couple of the Dammhus had a little help from their inlaws of Espoo, which explains the picture perfect Scandinavian look!

Surrounded by a private forest, overlooking a picturesque lake,  housing four bedrooms, no less than twelve beds and two bathrooms and only an hour away from Antwerp city, it’s the perfect getaways for families and groups of friends that want to escape the city for a few days.  I’m already checking my calendar as to when I can try out those beds myself…
