One and Three Chairs is a conceptual work of art by Joseph Kosuth, made in 1965. It consists out of a chair, a photograph of this chair and an enlarged dictionary definition of the word ‘chair’. The installer is supposed to follow Kosuth’s instructions, and choose a chair, place it before the wall, take a photograph of the chair and put a life-sized print of this photo next to the chair, changing the work every time it is installed in a new venue.

Je vind altijd van die speciale dingen! Leuke post weer. Ik vroeg me af welke opleiding je precies doet en aan welke school. Weet je of de inhoud heel anders is dan bouwkunde in Nederland?
Ik studeer burgerlijk ingenieur architect aan de KU Leuven, en als ik het goed begrepen heb, is dat hetzelfde als bouwkunde in Nederland. Het is in ieder geval een combinatie van ontwerpen (die gaan van publieke gebouwen tot interieurontwerper, stadsplanning en bruggen) en ingenieursvakken waarmee je nog alle kanten uit kan, ik kan zowel als architect als ingenieur aan de slag.
Oke bedankt, klinkt goed! In Nederland zit er geloof ik geen interieurontwerp bij.
